BTL chosen by ICAEW
12 January 2017
The ICAEW has chosen BTL as the preferred supplier for the delivery of its CBE exams in the UK. For international venues it will use the British Council.
The ICAEW said that it is working closely with the new suppliers to ensure exam venues are available in similar locations to paper-based exams.
It also said that once exams move to computer the paper-based version will no longer be available. The first CBE exams take place in March for Tax Compliance and Audit & Assurance. Then in September it will be the turn of Financial Accounting and Financial Management.
The ICAEW’s Mark Protherough said: “We are delighted to announce these new relationships with the British Council and BTL following a through tender process.” He pointed out that the results from the pilot CBE exams conducted in September last year were directly comparable to students taking the same exam on paper.
