CIMA grade descriptors
07 September 2016
CIMA has developed a set of grade descriptors to map students’ performance against the ‘fail’, ‘moderate’ and ‘strong’ ratings. These are based on the skills and/or abilities expected for different occupational roles and are part of a holistic system, which recognizes the links between categories and progression between levels.
Few PQs are likely to be ‘moderate’ or ‘strong’ across or even within all competencies. Most exam performance will be a mixture of the categories.
The final result will reflect where you sit overall.
