CIMA integration marks
22 March 2016
Integration is a key component of an answer in CIMA's case study exams.
In fact, all CIMA examiners state that all good answers are automatically integrated - so the task themselves ensure that good answers contain integrated content!
So why award the marks then?
CIMA believes it's PQs need to demonstrate a deep understanding of how subjects interrelate. Integration marks are then a clear message to students, helping to shake their studies.
CIMA said in business you need to consider the reason behind your colleague setting you the task in the case study. Students need to understand the issues and risks facing the organisation, understand the likely implications of your feedback, and the management accounting techniques that will help resolve the situation.
