CIMA introduces tiered exam prices
21 April 2016
CIMA has written to all its PQs to tell them that it has introduced a three-tiered pricing structure for exam fees.
The move follows a review of its exam pricing where it discovered students in some countries who are facing 'prohibitive economic conditions'.
In Tier 1 will be students form Western Europe, Turkey, Australia, Singapore, USA and Canada.
Tier 2 covers 'Rest of the World', and Tier 3 Sub-Saharan Africa.
For UK students the exams taken after 1 July 2016 will increase by an average of 5.5% (or £6.20). The price for taking exams in tier 3 will come down by 16/17%.
