CIPFA pass rates ‘mixed bag’

A mixed bag is the only way you can describe the latest set of CIPFA exam results.
While the MA paper pass rate rose from 85% in June to a whopping 95% in November, the Financial Management pass rate dropped from 69% in the summer to just 56% last time around – the lowest pass rate at the winter session.
In all eight papers saw a drop in the pass rates when compared with the June sitting. Four papers saw a pass rate rise.
One of the most dramatic drops came with the Business & Change Management paper, which slipped from a healthy 81% pass rate to 59% this time around.
Another big pass rate dip occurred in the Taxation paper with a slip from 94% to 75% in one sitting.
