KPMG wants ‘young people’

Continued growth plans mean KPMG is now in a position to commit to taking some 70 more graduates this September.

This brings the total intake to 1,000, levels last seen in 2008.
The extra 70 are divided between tax and audit and mean the firm will be recruiting some 820 graduates this year.
Michelle Quest, head of people at KPMG, said: “We are pleased to be in the position to take on increased numbers of young people this year.” (Can she say that? We will have to ask the KPMG diversity officer!) Quest said that while it is a perception in the marketplace that there is nothing available for students in the current economic climate, “there are places for the right people”.
