CIMA results hit the streets
13 January 2012
A fair set of exam papers is how PQ magazine’s CIMA Exam Review Board saw the November sitting, and the results seem to reflect this sentiment. After the 31% pass rate in the September resit there would have been big sighs of relief at the 59% pass rate for P2. P1 also had a healthy 58% pass rate. Our experts said P1 was tough but ‘in the zone’. Many sitters had said that P3 was a ‘bit of a nightmare’ but 60% of UK sitters still managed a pass. This is 10% better than the overall worldwide pass rate of 50%.
E1 wins the prize for the paper with the best pass rate, at 67%. Despite this that figure is still down from the 71% recorded a year ago. E2 had the lowest pass rates for the November sitting, at 52%. Many students did describe the paper as a bit of a horror as they left the exam hall.
See PQ magazine for more insight. Out on 19 January!
