Kaplan Financial has opened a fantastic new free resource for PQs and accountants everywhere – the Kaplan Financial Knowledge Bank.
PQ magazine was invited to talk to Kaplan implementation team and was given a sneak preview of this impressive offering.
There are eight main sections: audit, business management, business strategy, ethics, financial management, financial reporting, law and management accounting.
They work a bit like a wiki, so although you can’t edit you simply navigate by tagging the area you want to know more about. You can search key words, so if you are revising and get stuck on a specific topic this site should be your first port of call. It’s really easy to browse between topics and sections as well as looking up specific points.
At launch the site is a straight reference site, but the team believe this is just the start of something unique. At launch there are expected to be over 300 accountancy topics available at a click of a button.
Kaplan Financial’s top man Peter Houillon believes the knowledge bank will become the indispensible resource for PQs and accountants everywhere. Kaplan’s exam tips website already has over 40,000 members and growing. “This is going to be bigger, and for all the right reasons,” he said.
