AAT students give their verdict |
| 21 December 2009 |
|
The AAT discussion forums were buzzing as always after the December sitting. Students weren’t happy with the style of ECR or the wording of the questions! |
| The layout was also completely different. BTC sitters were also a bit upset. ‘I got out and felt like crying,” said one AAT. Another PQ wondered why he had revised all the wrong things. However, students did have some nice things to say about some of the other papers. Personal tax got the thumbs up, when compared to the business tax paper that is. The examiner even got a big ‘thank you’. PQ magazine’s AAT Exam Review Board members have also had a quick look at the papers. PEV was fine but they agreed ECR was ‘really lousy’. In fact there appears to be some proof-reading problems. “The accounts don’t add up,” said one member. With mistakes in the MAC paper in June one board member suggested there may be a problem with the quality control system.
