CIMA Exam Results

22 January 2010

CIMA has admitted results were again ‘mixed’ for the tenth and final session of the old syllabus. CIMA was pleased that at the managerial level the global pass rates for P1 Performance Evaluation, and both papers in the financial management pillar P7 and P8 showed good increases when compared with previous exam diets. TOPCIMA pass rates also show a good increase over previous diets.

PQ magazine wrote: CIMA students will be pleased that there were no real shocks with the release of the UK pass rates for the last sitting of the old syllabus. PQ magazine had reported that it was ‘all quiet of the CIMA front’ and the November results seem to bear this out. Our Exam Review Board had highlighted the fact that some P6 sitters would not have liked the return of the balanced scorecard, and true to form there was a bit of a dip in the UK results – but they still came in at a healthy 56%. No pass rates dipped below 50% and even the perennial problem papers P1 and P2 had success rates of 53% and 52% respectively, a far cry from the 44% and 45% achieved a year before.

We mark the examiners out of 10 for their efforts in November, with the help of BPP. See what we have to say again see our tudy zone.
