Number 1 is Deloitte!

Who’s number one? Deloitte is closing the gap on PwC and is set to take the number one slot in 2010, according to the latest global survey from International Accounting Bulletin.

When it comes to staffing levels the survey found that globally head counts have remained fairly stable. So there weren’t the massive redundancies we have seen in other downturns. The IAB’s report said that professional service firms have a reasonably high attrition rate that ranges from 10 to 20% a year as young accountants typically train at firms and move into the better paying private sector. Several firm chiefs have said these rates have slowed but ‘not that much’.
