Online job rush expected

PwC is now the UKs biggest private sector graduate recruiter with some 1,000 vacancies in 2010.

Despite the expected rise in graduate vacancies this year (the prediction is they will rise 12% year-on-year) the firm is bracing itself for in excess of 20,000 applications for the positions. That is how many graduates applied online for a job in 2009. The current minimum requirement for joining one of the Big $ is a 2.1 degree and at least 300 UCAS points at A level. However, PQ magazine understands that KPMG has raised its minimum of 320 UCAS points for 2010.
