PQs becoming more stressed
26 April 2016
The number of ICAEW students contacting the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association’s (CABA) with emotional concerns doubled in 2015, according to its newly released annual impact report.
This meant the number of students accessing the charity’s counseling services increased by 35% during the year.
As well as providing personal support CABA also delivered a range of workshops, seminars and webinars directly to students and within firms as part of their induction programmes. It also continued to work with the ICAEW on a joint student wellbeing week.
The number of ACA students accessing CABA’s financial assistance also grew.
In all more than 13,000 ICAEW accountants, both students and members, were helped by the charity in 2015, a record.
